Every item we grade is done without bias for the movie/music, customer or condition. We will treat every item with the care and respect that people come to expect from Rewind Grading. All grades are final. We are happy to provide more information on why we have given a tape a certain grade. Please be respectful when contacting staff about any issues you see with your grade. We understand the emotional connection our clients have with their media and we are sympathetic when you do not get the grade you were expecting.
Rewind Grading has taken a simpler, more elegant approach to grading. We grade the box and the seal. The box grade is on a scale of 0.5 to 10. 1 to 8 are broken into .5 steps and 9 is broken into .2, .4, .6, .8. The lowest box grade an item can get is 0.5 and the highest box grade an item can get is 10.0
When grading the box we are looking for an item that will present well. Our first thought is how would this look in a museum and we will take it from there. We will provide as much information as we can without giving away our trade secrets.
The seal is graded in stars. 0.5 to 5 stars moving up in ½ stars. The minimum number of stars an item will get is 0.5 and the maximum is 5 stars. The star system is refined and easy to follow and view on the tape.
