Can you grade VHS tapes?
Rewind can authenticate and grade VHS and Beta tapes that have specific box types. Slip Sleeve, Full box, Gatefold, side loader and Magnetic box.
Can you improve your grade?
Light cleaning and sticker removal is the best chance to improve your seal grade. There is not much you are able to do to change the box grade of a sealed item.
How do I get my item graded?
First create an account on rewindgrading.com click on submit for grading and enter all the details of your item. You then ship those items to Rewind HQ, it is as simple as that.
Should I get my VHS or Beta graded?
That is an entirely personal choice. The benefits of grading are; Your item is authenticated genuine by a knowledgeable team of authenticators and then protected in a strong polycarbonate case with a label that contains a grade.
Do Stickers affect my seal grade?
Only non-factory stickers are counted against your seal grade. If the stickers were placed there for the launch of that item it will not count against the seal grade unless that sticker is worn and faded. An example would be the american airlines sticker on home alone. That would not count against your seal grade.
What stickers count against my seal grade?
Any sticker that is not from the manufacturer/ publisher will count against your seal grade. An example would be security stickers and store price stickers.
Can you remove all stickers from VHS and Beta boxes?
There are certain stickers that we will not remove. These included foil type security stickers and stickers that we believe provide context to an item. When submitting an item and applying sticker removal please leave a note about the stickers you would like removed from the item. If there are ever any issues a member of the team will reach out to you for confirmation.
What media do you grade?
Rewind currently authenticates and grades VHS, BETA, CD and cassettes.
